Just one day to go and it will already be three full weeks since Joe and I tied the knot at Excellence Riviera Cancun. I’ve been trying to figure out if the wedding feels like it was yesterday or a year ago and I really can’t decide. In my defense, things have been incredibly busy since. We just got back from our working honeymoon on a Regent Seven Seas Mediterranean cruise—which was basically nothing but rich food and rosé (and grappa, and Aperol spritzes, and champagne) the entire time. To say that was a bit of a spectacular blur would be putting it lightly, so I’m going to give myself a bit of a pass on that one.
Despite time blending together, what I do know about that day is that is was completely amazing. Though, it definitely wasn’t perfect as far as everything going to plan. Among other things, there was bad weather, moved locations, broken bustles, and melting cakes to contend with (admittedly small compared to other things that could have gone wrong). But in the end, these have all gone in to become part of the whole package that was our incredible wedding day.
I will absolutely be doing lots of posts surround the event: tips for planning a destination wedding, a full recap of the day, etc. But for now I need to do a bit of catching up on work and planning for our home cocktail reception on the 2nd. For now I’ll leave you with a sneak peek into some of the amazing photos from that day.
Before I go, I do want to mention the ridiculously good photographers we had. The day was hectic and the weather was far from great. To say I was worried about how the pictures were going to come out is an understatement. However, our photographers (from Seasons Photo Studio) knew what they were doing. Before we left, Eduardo was nice enough to give us a small (mostly unedited) sample to take home with us while he edits the others. It was only supposed to be 15, but we wound up with 70, haha.
ANYWAY! Here they are 🙂
